Lunar New Year 2022 Red Envelope Collection (3-pack)
It's the "Year of the Tiger" and tigers have always had a special place in BOPOMOFO's history! To celebrate this special year for us, we teamed up with independent Asian American artists who are also special to BOPOMOFO to create these limited edition, hand folded, gold foiled red envelopes! These envelopes are beautiful pieces of art themselves and sure to bring an extra bit of prosperity to your year.
Each purchase not only supports indie artists and local businesses, but we will be donating 100% of proceeds to various local charities.
Featured artists
Linda Chung is an incredible artist and BOPOMOFO fan. We first noticed her when she drew a beautiful watercolor "portrait" of our cafe in 2019. Since then we've had the pleasure of working with her a few times on our BopoLofi project and her envelope design brings a playfulness to the Year of the Tiger.
Jennet Liaw is a longtime friend of BOPOMOFO. Her artistic touch has been part of our cafe since Day 1 through both of her beautiful murals at our San Gabriel location. We asked her to feature her "Two Tigers" mural on a special envelope so now you can take a piece of our cafe home for good luck!
Ben Zhu is the owner of local art gallery, Nucleus, just down the street from BOPOMOFO. His gallery has been a hub for artists for over a decade. As one of the few galleries of its kind in the San Gabriel Valley, Ben's work to build community is essential to the neighborhood. He was inspired by Chinese paper cutting for his envelope design!
